Joshua Smith | Development

A builder of things, both physical and digital

For a guy that used to break and train horses for a living, Joshua Smith gets satisfaction in being able to wear the hat of a wrangler, an interactive developer and many other things in between. While he loves building web applications and writing code, he also love manual labor - so really, Joshua has a love for building things, both physical and digital.

Having been involved in web development for over 12 years, Joshua has seen the things he's built grow and prosper - including an early internet shopping portal that was acquired by Apple. His unique blend of skills include both front and back-end development, systems and data architecture and even server administration. His specific areas of programming expertise includes SQL, PHP, ASP.NET, Python, Ruby, XML, HTML, CSS and JavaScript - but he also has an eye for design and oftentimes leads design along with back-end development on projects.

Joshua's can-do attitude opens up possibilities for the platforms, sites and applications that team members at Electronic Allies identify as opportunities for growth.

When Joshua isn't building things, he's usually hiking, boating, hunting or fishing in the mountains, foothills and woodlands of Appalachia - oftentimes with his wife and children, who thankfully, love all the same things he does.
